What Ingredients are in Bulletproof Coffee?

For many coffee drinkers, a good cup of coffee is all about the roast and the quality of the coffee beans used. Most bulletproof coffee recipes call for a higher grade of coffee bean. While buying high-end coffee isn't necessary to make bulletproof coffee, organic coffee comes with health, environmental and social benefits.

You might be thinking, "How will I lose weight from adding butter and oil to my morning cup of coffee?" While it might sound hard to believe, grass-fed butter and natural fatty acids like coconut oil are exactly the kind of fats that you should be eating and are actually good for you, offering nutritional benefits and revving up your metabolism.

Why use MCT oil? What's the difference between coconut oil and MCT oil? You have to weigh the pros and cons (no pun intended) before deciding which oil to use as an ingredient in your bulletproof coffee. Experts agree that MCT oil will help you burn more fat and boost your energy level more so than coconut oil will since it's basically a more concentrated version of coconut oil, anyway. Sounds good, right? You might burn more fat with using MCT oil, but keep in mind that MCT oil is manufactured (i.e. not found in nature) while coconut oil is organic and naturally high in MCTs.
